BUCKTOOL 10-Inch Drill Press Review

On a tight budget for a drill press project, I wasn’t sure what I’d get for under $500. But this BUCKTOOL drill press turned out to be a lifesaver! It’s a fantastic value for the price. The laser sight needed a minor tweak to be perfect, but overall, it drilled precisely. I had to drill hundreds of tiny quarter-inch holes in some square tubing, and the fence made the whole job a breeze.

However, there is one small snag. The support column seems to be slightly off-center, not perfectly plumb. So, if I needed to swing the table away and drill something big on the base, the holes wouldn’t be straight. That being said, for most projects, it’s a non-issue.

This is actually my second Bucktool tool – I love their value and quality! I started with either their grinder or sander, and they’ve both been workhorses in my workshop. So when I needed a drill press, Bucktool was my first choice. It arrived quickly, assembly was a breeze, and it does exactly what a drill press should do. Plus, it has a handy work light and a surprisingly accurate laser sight (with a tiny adjustment). For the price, you can’t beat it! Highly recommend! Read more…
