This little Berxol drill press is a lifesaver for small drilling jobs. It’s compact and light, so I can easily move it around my workshop. I’ve been using it for all sorts of projects, from drilling holes in circuit boards to putting together delicate jewelry. As long as I take my time and don’t push it too hard, it drills nice, clean holes exactly where I want them.
The only real downside I found is that it doesn’t have a cover over the belt drive. That worried me a bit, especially because the manual doesn’t mention any safety guards. A runaway finger or a loose screw getting caught in the belt could cause a scare, even if this drill isn’t powerful enough for serious injury. In the end, I decided the best solution was to make my own belt cover. It only took a few minutes, and now I have peace of mind knowing my fingers are safe.
