I recently bought the IRONWALLS Floor Drill Press Stand for Hand Drill to give some new life to an old corded power drill I had lying around. I was hoping it would be similar to a heavy-duty Sears model drill stand I used in the past, but this one is definitely lighter duty.
The base of the IRONWALLS stand isn’t quite big enough to fit my vise or the cross slide table I have, but I was able to make it work for my needs. It’s a good option for light-duty drilling tasks, like using hole saws and drill bits. However, it’s not ideal for quick adjustments between drilling holes, and the Allen bolts holding everything together are made of a soft metal that can strip easily.
That being said, considering the price and the jobs it’s designed for, the IRONWALLS Floor Drill Press Stand is a good value. I might even try modifying mine a bit to better suit my needs. Overall, if you’re looking for a simple and affordable way to turn your hand drill into a drill press for light-duty tasks, the IRONWALLS Floor Drill Press Stand is a decent option.
